Went to bed the same time as B last night and still managed to sleep until 10:30 or 11 (of course I read for a couple hours (William C. Dietz's Runner))

Did my usual bounce around the house like a slow-motion ping pong ball in a dryer gathering my stuff and performing my morning ablutions. I need to update my famous morning checklist.

Opened some windows. Brushed the cats.

I was starting out the door when B and I started into a chat about the less-mundane aspects of our life. I let her know that my current static situation is going to stay static for the forseeable future since there are many things that need to be resolved before I can see the way forward. And those resolutions are either out of my control or in line behind a bunch more urgent things. So, not closing any doors, but not stepping through any more for the time being. This seems right and good at the moment.
