This wasn't an easy week. We had to say goodbye to our cat Alice who'd been fighting kidney failure for a year and a half. She was a small cat with enough personality for a body five times her size. It's really hard having an Alice-shaped hole in our routine all of a sudden.

So it's no surprise that this week's test scores show me backsliding by a few weeks. Still quite a bit better than my initial baseline, though.

Some of the commitments I've been avoiding are coming to a head this week, so I'm going to have to force myself to be productive or face actual failure in a number of areas. GAIT meeting is Wednesday and I haven't announced it and don't know what we're going to talk about. Kryptonite is waiting for me to get permission to place bike racks in a bunch of locations around my town on their dime. A bunch of work stuff. Then all the things I want to be doing that I need to sift and distill into next actions so I can make progress instead of being incapacitated by indecision.

What's Chaz been saying? "Cowboy up." Yeah, okay. Gulp.
