And a strange week it's been. I had my review with my boss. ( Details of an uncomfortable review. )

Then a couple of days later they announced layoffs. No, I'm not on the list. Those of us left are pretty much numb to this process by now. There's sympathy and a little jealously towards those who are leaving (with a pretty nice severance package). It's so pathetic that stockholder-owned companies treat their employees as ballast for the bottom line.

B's been off at a class this weekend so I've been enjoying some quiet alone time which has been in somewhat scarce supply the past few months.

Yesterday I bused in to Seattle to meet up with some other Shadow Unit fans. ( Musings on human relationships and rusty interaction skills. )

So same as last week. Pretty amazing considering the drama at work. I've been feeling frustrated with what feels like slow progress to me, but B says she is noticing more major changes in my general affect so I guess I just need to chill and be patient. It's still hard dragging my ass out of bed, but that may be just habit. It'll be interesting to see how this new schedule works out.

Tonight we're going to see Richard Shindell at the Tractor with some friends. I'm really looking forward to the music.
