Back to woe, on Thursday I had surgery on my gums to reveal a problem area on my back left lower tooth that was below the gumline. So I've been on soft food for the past few days and am forbidden from eating some of my favorite things for another month+. In a month my dentist will be able to drill and fill the problem area. Bleh.
I took Friday off from work since they told me I needed to take it easy for a few days. Haven't had much pain, it's a little sore, but not bad enough I've had to take anything for it.
On Saturday I went to the 15th anniversary party for the Sightline Institute, a sustainability think tank non-profit that we've been donors to for many years. I recently became a trustee (which just means I volunteer on a committee.) so I got to help out with keeping people talking and mingling. Yeah, not really my forte. But in the interest of support for the group and personal growth I did okay at faking a slightly more gregarious nature than my usual. I patrolled the fringes looking for disenfranchised introverts, made myself look lonely but friendly for disenfranchised extroverts, and occasionally retreated to the outdoors to keep my system from going into complete shock. It was mostly fun.
Let's see how the depression index is this week...( testing... 1...2...3... )
That's about what I would have guessed. Which either means I'm getting to where I'm gaming the test or I'm getting better at gauging how down I am.
I've gotten my work GTD system going pretty well. My big challenge now is to sift through my piles and mounds of stuff at home and come up with a system that will work there to get my personal projects (especially GAIT) moving again.
