So it's snowing, see. And round here that means chaos with a capital K. Sport utility vehicles in ditches everywhere.
So naturally I decided to ride my bike to work. I did spend an hour swapping my usual slick tires for some knobby ATB tires from one of the dead bikes in the garage (actually, two of the dead bikes now that I think about it), and headed out.
So fun! Crunching along over untouched snow, or maybe a few footprints. Stopping to watch a big hawk eviscerate a freshly caught duck. (He was on the trail and did not leave his kill when I finally put the camera away and rode past him. I passed 2 feet away and he just glared at me. Kinda scary, actually.)
In another hour or two I'll go see if the grocery store is open and get some supplies.
There's your happy report for day 7.
