I must say that even though I've only exercised one day of vacation so far (xmas eve and day were work holidays, so I only had to use vacation for Friday), I'm already feeling significant benefits from not going to work for nearly a week.
( what's the silly test have to say about it? )
Looks like the test agrees.
As anyone with connections to the pacific northwest probably knows, we had an unusual amount and duration of snow in the past week which threw a spanner in the gears of many plans. Since my plans were mostly to stay home and be lazy it didn't bother me all that much. B and I did get out today for a bike ride to lunch and some holiday clearance bargain hunting (lots of stuff out there, but it's mostly crap) which was a nice break, though.
The last few days I've found myself looking for things to do. This is odd and welcome behavior. Usually I'm content to just click-click-click at the intarwebs, or even just stare off into space. Instead I've been spending some time working on household tasks. Nothing too taxing, but I've gotten some things done and feel somewhat virtuous as a result. I'll try to massage it into a habit in the week of vacation remaining to me.
