( test is up a few points this week )
I think I need to go read that copy of Learned Optimism by Martin Seligman that I bought almost four years ago. I wonder where it is...
Last week kind of sucked. Lots of late nights for work fighting mysterious problems that turned out to be an issue with one of my scripts that needed to be mindful of the fact that a gajillion instances of it might be started simultaneously and bring the system to its knees. I found a way to make it compensate, but it only works on three of the four systems where it needs to, so I need another solution (dang windows.) Inspiration hasn't struck yet so we're limping along on a kluge for now.
Saturday was nice. We've had a custom for a few years now of planning a day's activities for each others' birthdays and this was B's day. ( a play, some fire, dinner, and a movie... )
Sunday was recovery time, I guess. Didn't do much, but watched Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was pretty entertaining. Great directorial debut for George Clooney, of course if you could muster the free star power Clooney can, you could probably make a decent movie too. Seriously, though, I was impressed with the directing.
Having a terrible time getting traction this week. Maybe I should go back on caffeine.
