Layoff confusion and art sale madness prevented me from doing day 3 of week 2 in good time so I think I'll restart week 2 here first thing Monday morning. I went here for a piddly 2.4km in the usual time. Ankle felt better over the last few days and seemed fine today. Knees and hips stopped creaking after first set and are only a little sore afterwards.

And even this piddly amount was enough to make it to the Hobbits' first (frugal) supper.

In a way, this is the first day of my temporary retirement. I find that my brain, so practiced at avoiding unpleasant thoughts, has already erected a wall preventing any unintended consideration of what is going on back at my former workplace. I'm fine with that for now. In place of those thoughts I'm feeling an unaccustomed zeal for planning and organization. I intend to take advantage of this while it lasts.

But first, a (frugal (for hobbits)) meal.
